Volleyball Recap: San Mateo Comes Up Short

San Mateo lost against Junipero Serra back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The San Mateo Bearcats fell 2-0 to the Junipero Serra Padres.

Aaron Guo paced San Mateo's offense, picking up 11 kills. Guo got some help from Grant Greenburg and his 20 assists. Elliott Kim controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

San Mateo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Junipero Serra, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

San Mateo has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Leland on the 8th. As for Junipero Serra, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Aragon on the 8th.
