Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Academy Pumas vs. Panorama Pythons

For the second straight game, Northridge Academy will face off against Panorama. The Pumas will welcome the Pythons at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Northridge Academy beat Panorama 10-7. The Pumas haven't had any issues with the Pythons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Nathan Jimenez and Alberto Zamora did most of the damage at the plate: Jimenez scored two runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-4, while Zamora scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Jimenez has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Caballero, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Northridge Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Panorama is on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. As for Northridge Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Northridge Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Panorama struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 strikeouts.
