Sterling and Ellinwood squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sterling had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Ellinwood Eagles. The Black Bears haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 16-21. As for Ellinwood, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 38-3.
Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellinwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Thomas More Prep-Marian on the 26th.
