Football Recap: Goose Creek Gators vs. Fort Dorchester Patriots
After flying high against North Myrtle Beach last Friday, Goose Creek came back down to earth. The Goose Creek Gators were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 21-20 to the Fort Dorchester Patriots. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Gators couldn't quite close it out.
Ryan Campbell had an outrageously good game for Fort Dorchester as he rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 64 receiving yards.
Goose Creek dropped their record down to 1-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fort Dorchester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Goose Creek will head out on the road to square off against James Island at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Dorchester, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Stratford at 7:30 p.m.
