Basketball Recap: Valley View Takes a Loss

Valley View's tournament run continued when they took on Pioneer on Monday. The Eagles took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 788th, while the Titans are ranked 258th).

This is the second loss in a row for Valley View and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Pioneer, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Valley View won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Lawndale at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pioneer, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against JW North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
