Basketball Recap: Bluff Dale Starts Season with Victory at Home

Bluff Dale gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Cranfills Gap Lions 81-28. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Alex Saucedo went supernova, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. What's more, he racked up seven steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Knight, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 19 points.

Cranfills Gap now has a losing record of 1-2.

Bluff Dale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-41 defeat against May on the 4th. As for Cranfills Gap, they will challenge Meridian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
