Basketball Game Preview: Lincolnton Wolves vs. West Lincoln Rebels

Lincolnton is on a four-game streak of home losses, West Lincoln a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Lincolnton Wolves will host the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Lincolnton lost to Maiden at home by a 57-42 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 74th).

Meanwhile, West Lincoln played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 69-15 loss at the hands of East Burke. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

West Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Lincolnton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Lincolnton was able to grind out a solid victory over West Lincoln in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 40-29. Does Lincolnton have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Lincoln turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
