Baseball Recap: Fulshear Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fulshear can now relate to. They fell just short of the Katy Tigers by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Becket Depuy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Fulshear's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11-1. As for Katy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

While Fulshear had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
