Baseball Recap: Emmett Takes a Loss

If Emmett was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Caldwell on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nampa Bulldogs on Monday. The Huskies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 16-7.

Emmett saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Browne, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Emmett's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Nampa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Emmett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nampa, they will take on Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
