Basketball Recap: Varnum Comes Up Short

Varnum was the 57-23 winner over Strother when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Varnum Whippets took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Strother Yellowjackets on Friday. The match marked the Whippets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Varnum's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Strother, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Varnum has already played their next game, a 45-12 victory against Deer Creek-Lamont on the 1st. As for Strother, they will challenge Bowlegs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
