Football Recap: Liberty North Piles Up the Points Against Raymore-Peculiar

Liberty North had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 39-point drubbing they dealt Raymore-Peculiar on Friday. The Eagles breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 42-3. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant victory of the season.

Zemar Cheatam had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 137 yards and four scores on only 12 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103 rushing yards per game.

Cheatam was just one part of a punishing run game: Liberty North was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 208 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Liberty North now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
