Baseball Recap: Harvey Takes a Loss

Harvey couldn't beat Kirtland on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fourth inning. The Red Raiders came up short against the Hornets, falling 19-9. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 23-0 to the Hornets when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harvey saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Boehm, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Valentin Palomino also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Harvey now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Kirtland, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

While Harvey had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
