Volleyball Recap: Community Takes a Loss

Community extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-7. They lost 3-0 to the Canton Eagles. The Braves were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

As for Canton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Canton was led to victory by Peyton Goodon and Mallory Alexander. Goodon had 12 digs and two assists, while Alexander had 17 assists and five digs. That's the most digs Alexander has posted over her last eight contests.

Looking ahead, Community will head out to challenge North Lamar at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Clyde at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Bulldogs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
