Baseball Recap: Dothan Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Dothan lost to Auburn back in February, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Dothan walked away with an 8-3 victory over Auburn.

Will Walker was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Walker was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Graham Davis was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Braddoc Jenkins also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Dothan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. Auburn's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.

Dothan will have a chance to go back-to-back against Auburn: the pair will be back at it again later today.
