Volleyball Recap: Appalachian Christian School Starts Season with Loss at Home

Appalachian Christian School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Grace Christian Warriors on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-17.

Leading Grace Christian to victory were Finley Bussiere and Margaret Shomo. Bussiere had 27 digs and three aces, while Shomo had four aces and one assist. What's more, Shomo also posted a -37.5% hitting percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in October of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appalachian Christian School will take on Redeemer Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Christian, they will host Cornerstone Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
