Softball Recap: Dunbar Wins Going Away Against South Fort Myers

Dunbar was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against South Fort Myers on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Wolfpack 21-11. The matchup marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season.

Emanie Rosiaste and Lisa Guerrero-Salinas did most of the damage at the plate: Rosiaste went 3-for-5 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI, while Guerrero-Salinas got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those two triples gave Rosiaste a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Analei McWhorter, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Dunbar always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .738. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dunbar's record is now 3-11. As for South Fort Myers, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Dunbar didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-17 defeat against Island Coast on the 17th. Hopefully South Fort Myers paid attention to the Tigers' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
