Recap: South Central Trojans vs. Crestline Bulldogs
The South Central Trojans had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Crestline with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 62-47. With that victory, South Central brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
South Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gunner Ray, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Ray's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston June, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
South Central's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Crestline, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Central will finish 2023 at home by hosting Monroeville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Monroeville is ranked 740th, while South Central is ranked 748th). As for Crestline, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northmor at 7:30 p.m.
