Baseball Recap: Glenn Has No Trouble Against Northeast Guilford

Glenn not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024. They put the hurt on the Northeast Guilford Rams with a sharp 9-0 victory.

Not much got past Tyler Goodin, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Northeast Guilford off the board. Goodin also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Glenn is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Brayden Winters was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dawson Clinard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

The win got Glenn back to even at 7-7. As for Northeast Guilford, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coming up, Glenn will head out on the road to challenge West Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northeast Guilford, they will be playing at home against Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams are facing the Camels at the right time seeing as the Camels are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
