Baseball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars

The Camelback Spartans will venture away from home to face off against the Boulder Creek Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Camelback comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Thursday, Camelback didn't have quite enough to beat Maryvale and fell 4-3.

Cesar Fernandez and Sergio Bacame did some serious damage despite the final result: Fernandez went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Bacame scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Marcus Vera, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Boulder Creek suffered their closest defeat since March 1st on Thursday. They fell just short of Mountain Ridge by a score of 5-3. The Jaguars' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Boulder Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ren Wallace, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Chase Gilmore was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Boulder Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Camelback, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
