Volleyball Recap: Honeoye Falls-Lima Find Success

Honeoye Falls-Lima won the last time they faced Newark and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Reds by a score of 3-1.

Grace Elliott paced Honeoye Falls-Lima's offense, picking up eight kills. Elliott got some help from Zoey Schrader and her 20 assists. Schrader also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lindsay Mason, each putting up four.

Honeoye Falls-Lima's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Newark, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Honeoye Falls-Lima and Geneva will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newark, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Waterloo on the 25th.
