Soccer Recap: Johnston Wins High-Profile Contest Against Cranston East

Johnston faced Cranston East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Panthers never let the Thunderbolts get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Johnston's Freddy Magana and Ernesto Antelo and Cranston East's Giovani Love were all carded.

Fabian Saucedo and Steven Vera Vaca scored both of Johnston's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.
