Recap: Cardinal vs. Pymatuning Valley
Cardinal won the last time they faced Pymatuning Valley, and things went their way on Friday, too. Cardinal were fully in charge, breezing past Pymatuning Valley 60-14. Cardinal was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Cardinal's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 54 points in the first half. Pymatuning Valley came up with 14 to make it 54-14 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Cardinal in the second half, holding Pymatuning Valley to a measly 0 points. The game brought Cardinal to 0-1 and dropped Pymatuning Valley to a mirror-image 1-0.
Next week, Cardinal take on Grand Valley at 7:00 PM. Pymatuning Valley will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Liberty at 7:00 PM.
