Baseball Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss

Vista Grande lost against Canyon del Oro last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dorados. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Vista Grande saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruben Baca, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Vista Grande's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Canyon del Oro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Vista Grande has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Catalina Foothills on the 11th. As for Canyon del Oro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against Pueblo on the 11th.
