Basketball Recap: Stanley Carnahan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat O'fallon

After losing to O'Fallon the last time they met, Collinsville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Collinsville Kahoks enjoyed a cozy 62-47 win over the O'Fallon Panthers on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Kahoks.

Collinsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stanley Carnahan, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Carnahan has become a key player for Collinsville: the team is 8-3 when he posts at least eight boards, but 7-10 otherwise. Donovan Coates was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 16 points and five assists.

Collinsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Collinsville's record is now 15-13. As for O'Fallon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will take on Glenwood at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for O'Fallon, they will square off against Belleville East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
