Football Game Preview: Jesuit Marauders vs. Whitney Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Jesuit Marauders will challenge the Whitney Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jesuit is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since August 22nd on Friday. They took a blow against Folsom, falling 42-7. The Marauders have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Even if they lost, Jesuit's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Duncan Broughton, Diego Foley, and Brayden Quinn, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Whitney played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Oak Ridge, falling 28-6. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Trojans are ranked 24th).

Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Jesuit against Whitney in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 48-7 victory. In that game, the Marauders amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
