Marist proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Mother McAuley Mighty Macs 4-3. Marist have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Mother McAuley, too.

Mia Sherry and Sofia Wilson scored all four of Marist's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Marist is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for Mother McAuley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marist will challenge Triad at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mother McAuley, they will square off against Lincoln-Way West at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
