Recap: King Panthers vs. Atascocita Eagles
On Saturday, The King Panthers faced the Atascocita Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. King fell 28-21 to Atascocita. King has struggled against Atascocita recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darius Clark-James, who rushed for 85 yards, and also threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns.
King's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Atascocita, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will face off against Summer Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Summer Creek will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Atascocita, they will head out on the road to face off against North Shore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Shore has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 358 points over their last eight contests.
