Basketball Recap: Atkinson County Takes a Loss

Atkinson County lost against Charlton County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Atkinson County Rebels were outmatched by the Charlton County Indians and fell 67-36. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Indians are ranked 162nd).

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Charlton County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Atkinson County has already played their next matchup (against Lanier County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Charlton County will host Brooks County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brooks County comes in on 13 and Charlton County on seven.
