Baseball Recap: Bear Creek Comes Up Short

Bear Creek was the 7-1 winner over Lakewood when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Bear Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Memphis Sparks, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Bear Creek's record now sits at 7-11. As for Lakewood, the victory snapped their losing streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 3-16 record.

While Bear Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
