Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Herriman Mustangs

For the second straight game, Cedar Valley will face off against Herriman. The Aviators will host the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Cedar Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Herriman and fell 4-3.

For Herriman's part, they got a great performance from Mason Greeno as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Greeno has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Herriman's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Heyborne, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Beckam Maxwell also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cedar Valley dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Herriman, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-14 record.
