It was a good run, but West Brook unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Barbers Hill Eagles. The Bruins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 50-48.

West Brook's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 18-7. As for Barbers Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season.

West Brook and Barbers Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. West Brook (ranked 167th) will meet Beaumont United (ranked 697th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Barbers Hill will take on Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 948 places (212 vs. 1160).
