Softball Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Lynbrook Vikings        
        
		
            
 Gunn is 9-1 against Lynbrook since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Gunn Titans will stay at home for another  game and welcome the Lynbrook Vikings at 4:00  p.m. Gunn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8  runs per game  this season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Gunn gave their fans yet another huge  win on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Palo Alto  a   12-0 shutout.
  Lauryn Selvaraj was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Selvaraj has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 15 consecutive pitching appearances. Selvaraj was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Tess Bogart, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3.  Aarushi Kumar was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Lynbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They fell just short of Saratoga by a score of  1-0.
 Gunn pushed their record up to 22-1 with that  victory, which was their 12th straight  at home. As for Lynbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
 Everything went Gunn's way against Lynbrook in their previous matchup  back in April as Gunn made off with  a  21-4 win. Does  Gunn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lynbrook turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
