Football Game Preview: Plattsburg Tigers vs. North Platte Panthers

The Plattsburg Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the North Platte Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plattsburg comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, Plattsburg had to suffer through a 62-14 loss at the hands of West Platte.

Meanwhile, North Platte's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Penney with points to spare, taking the game 38-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Plattsburg better keep an eye on Dylan Armstrong. He was instrumental in North Platte's win, rushing for 238 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, Armstrong is now up to 11 rushing touchdowns on the season.

North Platte was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 385 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

North Platte didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hudson Yarc.

Plattsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for North Platte, their record now sits at 4-1.

Plattsburg took a serious blow against North Platte in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 45-6. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
