Basketball Recap: Goldi Aschkenasy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Beachwood over Lutheran West

Beachwood suffered their closest defeat since February 5, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lutheran West Longhorns by a score of 27-24. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now lost three in a row.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Goldi Aschkenasy, who posted two points along with 11 boards and seven blocks. Aschkenasy has been hot for a while, having posted two or more blocks the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zo? Walters, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Beachwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lutheran West, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.
