Softball Recap: Copiague Takes a Loss

Copiague fell victim to Northport and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Copiague's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Northport, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Copiague will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Commack at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northport, they will take on Bay Shore at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
