Softball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Northwestern had to take the L. They fell just short of the Dalton Bulldogs by a score of 9-8 on Wednesday. The Huskies have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Alysa Troyan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley McLaughlin, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Northwestern now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Dalton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Northwestern will challenge Keystone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dalton, they will square off against Wooster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
