Basketball Recap: Soulsville Comes Up Short

Soulsville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the St. George's Gryphons and fell 85-41. The contest marked the Revolution's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Soulsville still got an impressive performance from NICKARREON WILLIAMS, who posted 13 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. WILLIAMS has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JAKEEL TRUSS, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.

St. George's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carson Crump out in front who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Farris, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 17 points and five steals.

Soulsville's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for St. George's, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Soulsville and First Assembly Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. George's and Orlando Christian Prep will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
