The Rusk Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They lost to Bullard on the road by a decisive 57-42 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rusk in their matchups with Bullard: they've now lost six in a row.

Rusk's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jakaiyah Jenkins, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damaya Hart, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Rusk's loss was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-18. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.4 points per game. As for Bullard, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
