After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, Northridge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mountain View Mountain Lions as the Northridge Grizzlies made off with a 16-1 victory. Considering the Grizzlies have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooke Riofrio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2023. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Northridge let Bailey McGeen and Naomi Propes loose on the outfield. McGeen went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and three RBI, while Propes scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lotte Cardiel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View only posted an OBP of .167.

Northridge now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Mountain View, their defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northridge beat Mountain View by a score of 13-3 later that day.
