Baseball Recap: Edison Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Edison, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past the McLane Highlanders 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 21st.

Anthony Cobian was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. James Phillips was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Edison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 10.4.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 7-17-1. As for McLane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Edison nor McLane have any future games scheduled.
