Volleyball Recap: St. Francis DeSales Stallions vs. Westerville South Wildcats
St. Francis DeSales won the last time they faced Westerville South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Stallions came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.
While St. Francis DeSales might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Westerville South scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-20, 25-22.
Lyla Stewart paced St. Francis DeSales' offense, picking up 18 kills. Stewart got some help from Chloe Smith and her 34 assists. Ava Gilmartin controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Despite the loss, Westerville South still got an impressive performance from Sasha ` Brownlee, who had 12 digs and two aces.
St. Francis DeSales' win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Westerville South, they moved to 12-9 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.
