Softball Game Preview: Liberty Center Tigers vs. North Central Eagles

The Liberty Center Tigers will head out to take on the North Central Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Things were looking good for Liberty Center after they put the first runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 8-2 to Hicksville. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Liberty Center saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Fuller, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kylie Pinson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Tinora, falling 22-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Liberty Center fell to 3-1. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

North Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Liberty Center hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354.
