Coal Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Steamboat Springs Sailors on Friday. The Titans were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Sailors, so the Titans were just returning the favor.

Austin Jensen paced Coal Ridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Jensen got some help from Ava Harlow and her 12 assists. Jensen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Coal Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mullen on the 22nd. As for Steamboat Springs, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Rifle on the 22nd.
