Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Springfield Gardens challenged Eagle Academy III on Sunday. The Golden Eagles lost 26-0 to the Eagles. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Flushing now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Springfield Gardens, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
