Volleyball Recap: Southmont Comes Up Short

Southmont extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cascade Cadets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mounties of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Cascade, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Southmont since August 31, 2017.

Cascade can attribute much of their success to Suzy Moore, who had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Moore has posted since back in August of 2024.

Southmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Seeger on the 23rd. As for Cascade, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against University on the 23rd.
