Basketball Game Preview: Swampscott Big Blue vs. Beverly Panthers

Swampscott hasn't had much luck against Beverly recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Swampscott Big Blue will head out on the road to face off against the Beverly Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Swampscott came up short against Lynn Vo-Tech and fell 50-43.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beverly). They breezed by Danvers to the tune of 90-63 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers who have now won four contests in a row.

Swampscott's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Beverly, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Swampscott took their win against Beverly when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 66-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Swampscott since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
