Softball Recap: Bishop Union Has No Trouble Against Boron

Bishop Union had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Boron on Tuesday. The Broncos put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 15-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

Bishop Union got a massive performance out of Cambrie Lanphear, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four runs gave Lanphear a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Faye Spoonhunter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double.

Bishop Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boron only posted an OBP of .350.

Bishop Union's record now sits at 11-7. As for Boron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
