Volleyball Recap: Harlem Comes Up Short on the Road Against Freeport

Harlem had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Freeport Pretzels by a score of 2-1. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pretzels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Harlem sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 25-20.

Freeport has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harlem will take on rival Rockford East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Freeport is set to challenge their familiar foe Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
