The Evansville Blue Devils will head out to square off against the Delavan-Darien Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Evansville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Evansville came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Brodhead.

Evansville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Sendelbach, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Delavan-Darien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 7-4 to East Troy. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Comets' highest-scoring game to date.

Evansville's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Delavan-Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Evansville got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Delavan-Darien by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
