Softball Recap: Center Moriches Sets Scoring Season-High Against Southampton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Center Moriches). Everything went their way against the Southampton Mariners on Thursday as they made off with a 24-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won six games by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Lilah Eten was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Another player making a difference was Makayla Montecalvo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Center Moriches always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .729. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Center Moriches back to even at 7-7. As for Southampton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
